A chauffeured car sidesteps all of it: we drop your group at the gate, park off-site, and are back at an agreed meeting point when you are ready to go — however the day has gone. Getting into Flemington on Cup Day
We use the Smithfield Road and Gate 1 approach rather than fighting Epsom Road, and we leave early enough to absorb the build-up. For groups heading to The Park, the Lawn or a corporate marquee in the Birdcage, we confirm the closest legal set-down point to your gate the week before, so nobody is walking the length of the straight in heels.
Public-transport specials run all day, but they run to the timetable and the crush — not to your marquee booking or your lunch reservation. A private car runs to you.
The trip home — the part people forget to plan
The taxi and rideshare queues on Cup Day are famous for the wrong reasons — an hour-plus wait in the sun is normal, and surge pricing is brutal. We agree a pickup point and a window before you even leave home. If the group wants to stay for a drink after the last, that is fine; the car waits. If someone needs to leave early, we can run a split pickup.
For corporate bookings we hold the vehicle for the full afternoon so clients can come and go from the box on their own schedule.

A stretch limousine or a Hummer suits a group of eight to eighteen who want the day to start the moment they get in — champagne on board, music, photos before you have even reached Flemington. How far ahead should I book a car for Melbourne Cup?
Four to eight weeks. Cup Day and Derby Day are the two busiest days of our year — the larger Hummers and stretch limos go first, and once they are gone they are gone. Corporate bookings for the full afternoon should be locked in even earlier.
Where does the car drop us at Flemington?
We confirm the closest legal set-down point to your gate the week of the race — usually the Gate 1 / Smithfield Road side rather than Epsom Road. If you are in the Birdcage or a corporate marquee we plan the approach around that.
What happens with the pickup after the last race?
We agree a meeting point and a time window before the day. The car is there waiting — no taxi queue, no surge pricing. If part of the group wants to leave early we can arrange a split pickup.
Can we drink on the way to the track?
Yes — BYO is welcome on board the Hummers and stretch limousines, with glassware and ice. The chauffeur does the driving so the whole group can start the day properly.
