Wedding Day Transport Planner

Getting the timing right is the hardest part of wedding transport. Enter your ceremony time, how far apart your venues are and who is travelling, and the planner builds your pickup timeline, tells you roughly how long to book the car, and suggests a car that fits your bridal party. Planners and photographers are welcome to share it with their couples.

How the timings work

The planner uses the timings our chauffeurs work to on wedding days: the bridal car arrives about 20 minutes before the bride leaves, the bride arrives about five minutes before the start, the groom about half an hour early, and there is half an hour after the ceremony for congratulations and confetti. Saturdays in November and December are the busiest wedding days of the year in our booking data, so book early for those dates. See all our wedding cars and wedding venue guides.

Questions couples ask

What time should the bridal car arrive?

Most bridal cars arrive about 20 minutes before the bride needs to leave, which leaves time for photos with the car. The bride usually aims to arrive about five minutes before the ceremony starts.

How long should I book a wedding car for?

Long enough to cover getting-ready pickup, the ceremony, the photo stop and the drive to the reception. In our bookings a wedding averages about three hours; the planner works out your own number from your times.

Does the groom need a separate car?

Not always. The groom’s party travels before the bride, so depending on distances one car can sometimes do both trips. Otherwise a second car is booked for the groom.

How many people fit in a wedding car?

The Rolls Royce Tribute seats up to 9, the White Hummer up to 15 and the Black Hummer 6x6 up to 18. Larger bridal parties can book two cars together.
