Limo & Transport for Derby Day
The black-and-white day — arrive without creasing the outfit, leave without the taxi queue.
Saturday before the Cup — Saturday 31 October 2026
Derby Day is the fashion day of the carnival — strict monochrome, the Members lawn at its busiest, and a crowd that takes the dress code seriously. It is also, quietly, the harder of the two big Saturdays to get away from, because so much of the crowd is heading back into the city for the night rather than straight home. A chauffeured car means you arrive uncreased, you are not standing in a rank in a white suit, and the car takes you on to wherever the evening goes next.
A day that runs long
Derby Day tends not to end at the last race. Groups move on — to a bar in the CBD, to a restaurant in South Yarra, to a house party. We build the booking around that: the car drops at Flemington, waits, then runs the group on to the next place rather than leaving you to find transport in a monochrome crowd of thousands.
If you are doing the full carnival, we can hold the same vehicle and chauffeur across Derby Day and Cup Day so the arrangements are identical both times.
The dress-code day
Black and white, head to toe, and everyone is photographed on the way in. A Rolls Royce Tribute or the 1962 Cadillac is the arrival that matches the effort for a smaller group or a couple. For a larger crew, the white Hummer keeps the monochrome theme going and gives you somewhere to touch up before the gate.
Fashions on the Field
If someone in the group is entering Fashions on the Field, timing matters — heats run through the early afternoon and you cannot be caught in traffic on Epsom Road. We plan the arrival to land well before the first call, with a buffer.

Derby Day Transport FAQs
Is Derby Day as busy as Melbourne Cup for car hire?
Yes — Derby Day and Cup Day are the two peak days of the spring for us. Book four to eight weeks ahead, especially for the larger vehicles.
Can the car take us into the city afterwards?
Yes. A lot of Derby Day groups head back into Melbourne for the evening rather than straight home. We can drop you at the track, wait, and run you on to a bar or restaurant after the last.
Can we book the same car for both Derby Day and Cup Day?
Yes — if you are doing both Saturdays and the Tuesday, we can hold the same vehicle and chauffeur for the whole carnival so the plan is identical each day.
