Chauffeured Day Trips

Private Day Tours from Melbourne

Your own car, your own driver and your own timetable — no coach, no crowd.

Melbourne is surrounded by some of the best day trips in Australia, and the easiest way to do them is with your own car and chauffeur. No coach timetable, no waiting for forty strangers at every stop — you leave when you are ready, stop where you like, and come home when the day is done. Every trip can be done in any car in our fleet, from a couple in the Rolls Royce Tribute to a group of thirteen in the Mercedes Sprinter. Tell us the day you have in mind and our booking manager will send you a quote.

Popular day trips

The Great Ocean Road to the Twelve Apostles is the big one — a full day along one of the world’s great coastal drives. Phillip Island ends with the penguins coming ashore at sunset. Puffing Billy and the Dandenong Ranges is a classic steam-train day an hour from the city. The Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula are the wine days. Daylesford is spa country, Healesville Sanctuary is the wildlife day, and the Peninsula Hot Springs is the relaxing one.

Why a private tour instead of a coach tour

A coach tour runs to its own schedule and stops where everyone stops. A private tour runs to yours: an early start to beat the crowds, a longer lunch, an extra lookout, a detour to a winery you heard about. Your chauffeur handles the driving and the parking, and the car is waiting at every stop. For families, friends and small groups the cost per person often lands closer to a coach tour than people expect.

Which car

Any car in the fleet can do a day tour. Couples tend to choose the Rolls Royce Tribute or the G-Wagon; families and groups up to thirteen take the Mercedes Sprinter; celebrations go in a Hummer. Tell us how many are coming and we suggest the right one.

Common Questions

Can I book a private day tour from my Melbourne hotel?

Yes. We pick up from any Melbourne hotel or home address and bring you back at the end of the day.

How much does a private day tour cost?

It depends on the trip, the car and how long the day runs. Send us the details and our booking manager will quote a fixed price for the whole day.

Can we change the plan on the day?

Within reason, yes — that is the point of a private tour. Your chauffeur can add a stop or stay longer somewhere, and we confirm any change to the day with you.

Are entry tickets included?

No. The tour covers your car and chauffeur for the day. Tickets for attractions, trains or spas are booked directly with each venue — we plan the timing around them.
