Limo & Transport for Portsea Polo
The Peninsula fashion day — one road in, one road out, and a car that handles both.
Mid-January — Portsea (confirm with the organiser)
Portsea Polo is the Mornington Peninsula's answer to Derby Day — a fashion-forward, champagne-heavy, all-day event on the grass at Portsea in the middle of January. The logistics are simple and unforgiving: there is essentially one road down the Peninsula, it is peak summer holiday traffic, the event site has limited and expensive parking, and it is a long way to drive home after a day in the sun with a glass in hand. A chauffeured car solves all four.
One road down, one road back
The Nepean Highway and Point Nepean Road carry every car heading to Portsea, in the middle of the summer holiday peak. We leave with a generous buffer, drop at the event set-down, then position off-site for the afternoon. The return — a tired, sun-and-champagne group facing an hour-plus drive back to Melbourne or a Peninsula house — is exactly the trip you do not want to be driving.
A day, not a dash
Portsea Polo is a full day: the fashion, the marquees, the lawn, the actual polo somewhere in the mix. Groups often pair it with lunch at a Sorrento or Portsea restaurant before or after, or a stay at a Peninsula house. We build the booking around the whole day rather than a single drop and pickup.
The car
A Hummer or stretch limousine for a group making the trip together with BYO on board for the drive down; the classic and prestige cars for a couple or a smaller party arriving in keeping with the day; the executive vehicles for a corporate marquee host.

Portsea Polo Transport FAQs
How long does it take to get to Portsea Polo from Melbourne?
Around 90 minutes without traffic, but Portsea Polo falls in the January holiday peak with everyone using the same road, so we build in a generous buffer. The return is the trip that really matters — a long drive home after a day in the sun is exactly what a chauffeured car is for.
Can we drink on the way down?
Yes — BYO is welcome on the Hummers and stretch limousines, with glassware and ice, so the day starts on the drive.
Can the car take us to lunch first?
Yes — a lot of Portsea Polo groups pair it with lunch in Sorrento or Portsea, or a Peninsula house. We build the booking around the whole day.
