Funeral Car Hire Melbourne
Dignified transport for family, at a difficult time.
A funeral is not an occasion anyone plans for, and the last thing a family needs on the day is uncertainty about transport. Mayfair Limousines provides chauffeured funeral car hire across Melbourne — for the immediate family, and for the wider group of mourners — in vehicles we own and maintain ourselves, with a chauffeur dressed and briefed for the occasion.
We work alongside funeral directors and celebrants, following the hearse from the residence or funeral home to the church or service, then on to the wake or reception. The Rolls Royce Tribute, the 1962 Cadillac DeVille or the Chrysler suit the immediate family car; for a larger group of relatives travelling together, the black Hummer carries everyone in one vehicle rather than several cars trying to stay together in traffic.
Every booking is handled quietly and without fuss — an unbranded vehicle, a chauffeur in formal black attire, and timing built around the service rather than a fixed schedule, because funeral timing can shift on the day.
Every vehicle is ours, maintained in our own workshop, so the car confirmed for the family is the car that arrives — nothing passed to another operator on the day.

How a funeral booking works
Most bookings start with a call from the family or the funeral home to confirm the day, the addresses and the order of the service — the residence, the church or chapel, and the wake or reception venue. We are happy to liaise directly with your funeral director on timing where that is easier for the family.
A single car for the immediate family, or a Hummer for a larger group of relatives, both work on one booking, and multiple pickups across a few addresses are standard.
Choosing the car
The Rolls Royce Tribute or the 1962 Cadillac DeVille suit a formal, classic funeral car for close family. The Chrysler is a quieter, understated option. For a larger family group travelling together, the black Hummer keeps everyone in one vehicle rather than a convoy.

Common Questions
Do you provide the hearse?
No — the hearse itself is arranged through your funeral director. We provide the car for the family and mourners, following the hearse to the service and on to the wake.
Can you liaise directly with our funeral director?
Yes — we are happy to coordinate timing and the order of the day directly with your funeral director or celebrant, so the family does not have to manage it.
Can you pick up family from several addresses?
Yes — multiple pickups are standard. Send us the addresses and the service time and we plan the route with a buffer.
How much notice do you need?
We understand funerals are often arranged on short notice. Call us and we will do what we can to accommodate the date, even at short notice.
