Indian Wedding Car Hire Melbourne

The groom's arrival, the bride's farewell, and the family in between — across every day of the wedding.

An Indian wedding is rarely one event. There is often a mehndi and a sangeet before the big day, a ceremony at a temple, gurdwara or venue, and a reception that runs late into the night — with two large families who all need to be in the right place at the right time. We plan the cars around the whole celebration, not just one drive, using vehicles we own and chauffeurs who are used to working to a family's schedule.

Every car in our fleet is owned by Mayfair, so the car the family chooses is the car that arrives — on every day it is booked.

The groom's arrival — the baraat

Many baraats finish on foot, with the dhol, the dancing and the groom's family making their way to the venue. The car's job is to bring the groom to the starting point looking his best, wait while the procession forms, and be ready for the next leg. Some grooms arrive by car all the way to the door instead — the Rolls Royce Tribute, the BMW X5M or the G-Wagon are the usual choices — and we time it with whoever is leading the procession.

The bride's farewell — the vidaai

The vidaai is one of the most emotional moments of the day, and nobody wants a car that is rushing them. The chauffeur waits for as long as the farewell takes, with the car dressed and positioned for the photographs. Families often have their florist add garlands or flowers to the car — talk to us beforehand and we will make sure they can be fitted without damaging the paintwork.

Morning ceremonies and several events

Sikh Anand Karaj ceremonies at a gurdwara usually begin in the morning, and temple ceremonies often start early too, so we plan for early pickups. Because the celebrations run over several days, many families book the same car for the sangeet, the wedding and the reception, so the chauffeur already knows the family and the plan.

Getting the whole family there

With large guest lists, the parents, grandparents and bridal party often need their own transport. Stretch Hummers and limousines can carry them as one convoy that arrives together — see large-group limo hire for groups of 20 to 100+. If the family prefers an alcohol-free car, just tell us and nothing will be on board.

Common Questions

Can the car wait while the baraat procession happens?

Yes. The chauffeur brings the groom to the starting point, waits while the procession forms and moves, and is ready for the next leg — the waiting time is part of the booking.

Can our florist decorate the car with flowers and garlands?

Yes — let us know beforehand and we will make sure the decorations can be fitted safely without marking the paintwork.

Can we book the same car for the sangeet, the wedding and the reception?

Yes. Many families book the same car and chauffeur across several days so everyone knows the plan.

Can the cars be kept alcohol-free?

Yes. Tell us when you book and no alcohol will be on board any of the cars.

Do you do early starts for a gurdwara or temple ceremony?

Yes — morning ceremonies are routine for us, and the pickup is planned with time to spare.
