Planning Your Wedding Car Transport in Melbourne

Planning Your Wedding Car Transport in Melbourne

Of everything on a wedding day, the cars are one of the few things tied to a hard schedule. Get the plan right and you never think about it again. Here is how to work it out.

How many vehicles you need

Start with who needs to be where. The classic setup is one car for the couple and one larger vehicle for the bridal party, but it varies — some couples want a single statement vehicle for everyone, others add a car for parents or grandparents. Map out the groups and the locations first, then decide.

Because our whole fleet is owned in-house, we can run two or three vehicles on one booking with a single point of contact, rather than you coordinating between separate companies.

Building the timeline

Work backwards from the ceremony start time. Allow for the drive, plus a buffer, plus time for photos at the pickup location if you want them. A good chauffeur will help you build this and will arrive early rather than on the dot.

Multiple pickups

If the bridal party is getting ready in different places, list every address and the order you want them collected. We plan the most efficient route and confirm the pickup times with you in advance so nobody is left waiting.

Coordinating with the photographer

Tell your photographer which vehicles you have booked and when they arrive — the cars are often part of the photos, whether it is the arrival at the ceremony or a set between locations. Our chauffeurs are used to working around a photographer and will hold for the shot.

When to book

For a Saturday in peak wedding season — roughly October to March — three to six months ahead is sensible, and popular dates go earlier. Once you book, the specific vehicles are locked to your wedding. No substitutions.

Common Questions

Can the wedding car do multiple pickups?

Yes, multiple pickups are standard for weddings. Give us all the addresses and the order you want, and we plan the route and confirm the times with you beforehand.

How early does the chauffeur arrive?

Early, always — we build a buffer into the schedule so the car is there before it is needed, not exactly on time.

Can we book more than one wedding car?

Yes. A classic car for the couple and a larger vehicle for the bridal party is a common combination, and because we own the whole fleet we run both on one booking.
